I painted this in Prussian Blue but that colour doesn't photograph well.

Portraits

I'm doing a new body of work and hope to have a show I'll call Off The Wall. A lot of them are close-up heads. My aim is to push beyond the surfaces of realism but not by using abstraction. I have thought of various ways to do this such as painting a monochrome and then doing part in colour but haven't come up with the answer yet. People do say I show emotions in these portraits which may be enough.
